A comprehensive eye examination includes an extensive visual and medical case history and a complete analysis of your eye health. The results of the eye exam will lead to an optimum glasses prescription for safety and visual performance. Our office uses the latest technology and instrumentation to perform a variety of tests to examine your eyes. These tests range from simply reading an eye chart to more complex optometric tests using a digital retinal camera to photograph critical structures inside the eyes.

Dr. Todd Brantley specializes in fitting
contact lenses and carries a comprehensive supply of diagnostic lenses such as soft-disposable lenses, rigid gas-permeable lenses (RGP’s),
Paragon CRT lenses, and eye color changing lenses. We carry contact lenses for
nearsightedness,
farsightedness,
astigmatism, and lenses specifically for patients needing multifocals. Newer breathable soft lens designs give you healthy eyes with remarkable clarity and incredible comfort, allowing you to wear the lenses continuously while you sleep. Our goal is that you are completely satisfied with the lens design selected for your particular needs.

Are you looking for an alternative to LASIK or afraid of complications from eye surgery? Dr. Brantley is one of only a few optometrists in the nation certified to fit the new
Paragon CRT contact lenses. Corneal Refractive Therapy is a non-surgical process clinically developed to reshape the cornea while you sleep. The result is the temporary correction of
myopia with or without moderate
astigmatism.

Lone Star Vision clearly recognizes that LASIK, Laser in-situ Keratomileusis, is an amazing procedure that will change your life forever. Our goal is to educate you about the expected outcome associated with laser vision correction and to provide all the information needed to make an informed decision about your vision correction options.

Dr. Brantley is a therapeutic optometrist board-certified to diagnose and treat many eye diseases including conjunctivitis, eye allergies, dry eye syndrome, and glaucoma. Lone Star Vision provides immediate care for eye emergencies both during and after office hours.

Dry Eye Syndrome is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects millions of patients and is caused by the eye’s reduced ability to produce tears. Fortunately, we have wonderful ways to treat dry eyes. Symptoms of dry, red, itchy, burning, watery eyes, and irritation are the most common medical reasons people visit their eye doctor. Lone Star Vision has an arsenal of treatments to help manage chronic dry eye including artificial tears, prescription eye drops, nutritional supplements, and punctual plugs.
Dr. Brantley is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist and has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. As part of your comprehensive eye exam, we will check your eye pressure and peripheral vision. Early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma can help preserve eyesight and keep you from losing peripheral vision.

Vision therapy is a highly effective non-surgical treatment for many common visual problems such as a "lazy eye", double vision, convergence insufficiency and some reading and learning disabilities. Specialized computer programs and sophisticated optical devices are used to enhance important visual tasks such as eye alignment, eye teaming, eye focusing, and eye movements. Dr. Brantley will prescribe the best vision therapy program for you.

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a growing problem because more people are using computers on a daily basis. Over half of all computer operators experience eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision and other symptoms directly related to the increased visual stress. Visual stress also may cause complaints of general body fatigue, reduced efficiency at work, and higher error rates as the day progresses. Lone Star Vision can prescribe you computer lenses for efficient, comfortable vision throughout the day.

Dr. Brantley received his low vision training at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Service at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He works with visually impaired patients to help them achieve the best quality of life possible while maintaining their independence.
